A group of women asylum seekers, their Irish children and local supporters held a protest at the Dail yesterday.

Stop Killing Palestinians

Date:

Israel has invaded Gaza again. They have bombed bridges and the main electric power plant. Last month 49 Palestinians, including 11 children, were killed. Almost all were civilians. This is a collective punishment directed against all Palestinians.

Report on anti-war march to HMS Ocean

Date:

Just over 150 people marched down to HMS Ocean to protest the presence of this British warship which was involved in the invasion of Iraq in Dublin port Thursday June 29. Although some will be disappointed with this turnout in reality it was a significant number for a wet mid week demonstration. Also on the positive side there was a real effort to overcome some of the divisions that have characterised the anti-war movement.

The Dublin Shell to Sea group has a fundraising Table Quiz tonight in Doyles Pub (opposite Trinity College, near Pearse Street Garda Station). It runs from 8pm to 11pm and teams of 4 will compete in ten rounds of questions. All welcome.
